DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our exquisitely crafted metal jacketed gaskets are engineered with a robust thin metallic outer shell that encases a resilient filler material. This cutting-edge design ensures maximum protection for the filler, offering unmatched resistance to pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each gasket is painstakingly handmade, available in an expansive variety of shapes and sizes, with an elite selection of metals and fillers. Configurable internal ribs offer additional adaptability. These gaskets are essential for heat exchanger applications, though they require precise flange surfaces and high bolt loads to establish an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets feature a single surface and are completely enveloped by a metal jacket covering both the OD and ID. They are the ideal choice for narrow flange widths in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets are brilliantly engineered with a two-piece metal jacket that fully encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. They are predominantly employed in heat exchanger applications and excel in handling corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded, ensuring the integrity of the primary seal remains uncompromised in both configurations.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and furnaces
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are perfect for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes excel in the flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets span 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, and can withstand maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, making them versatile and reliable.
Jackets are crafted from a selection of premium materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
The filler options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely set at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring exacting standards and precision.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are unavailable, requiring the use of Class 600 instead;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, necessitating the use of Class 1500;
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger.
