Typically crafted from the same alloy as the winding, the inner ring adheres to the esteemed DIN 2699 German standard, mandating its inclusion in all spiral wound gaskets. Furthermore, according to ASME B16.20 standards, inner rings are essential for gaskets with PTFE fillers and are deemed critical for graphite fillers.
