DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our exquisitely crafted metal jacketed gaskets are engineered with a robust and thin metallic outer shell that elegantly encases a resilient filler material. This cutting-edge design ensures maximum protection for the filler, offering unparalleled resistance to pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each gasket is meticulously handmade and available in a diverse array of shapes and sizes, featuring a premium selection of metals and fillers. Configurable internal ribs provide additional versatility and adaptability. These gaskets are essential for heat exchanger applications, though they require precision flange surfaces and high bolt loads to achieve an optimal seal, ensuring impeccable performance.
Single jacketed gaskets, with their one-surface design, are completely enveloped by a sturdy metal jacket that covers both the OD and ID. These gaskets are the ideal choice for narrow flange widths in low-pressure valve and pump applications, providing dependable and effective sealing.
Double jacketed gaskets boast an ingenious design with a two-piece metal jacket that fully encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. They are the preferred choice for heat exchanger applications, adeptly handling corrosive and high-temperature environments, ensuring durability and reliability.
Internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded, ensuring the primary seal remains uncompromised in both configurations, enhancing the gasket's strength and functionality.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fuels
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are perfect for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes excel in the flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets span 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, capable of withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, making them versatile and reliable across numerous applications.
Jackets are expertly crafted from a selection of high-quality materials, including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more, ensuring versatility and adaptability to various needs.
The filler options are diverse, including expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, offering flexibility and high performance.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely set at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring adherence to exacting standards and superior quality.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm) to guarantee precise fitting;
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are unavailable, requiring the use of Class 600 instead, ensuring compatibility and performance;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, necessitating the use of Class 1500, addressing specific application needs;
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger, guiding the appropriate class selection for optimal application.
