DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our exquisitely crafted metal jacketed gaskets are meticulously designed with a durable, thin metallic outer shell that encases a resilient filler material. This innovative creation guarantees maximum protection for the filler, delivering unparalleled resistance to pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each gasket is carefully handmade, available in a diverse array of shapes and sizes, and offers a premium selection of metals and fillers. Configurable internal ribs provide additional versatility for specific needs. These gaskets are indispensable for heat exchanger applications, requiring precise flange surfaces and high bolt loads to achieve an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets feature one surface and are completely enveloped by a protective metal jacket that covers both the OD and ID. Perfectly suited for narrow flange widths, they excel in low-pressure valve and pump applications, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
Double jacketed gaskets are ingeniously engineered with a two-piece metal jacket that fully encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. These gaskets are predominantly utilized in heat exchanger applications and are skilled at managing corrosive and high-temperature environments with finesse.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded, ensuring the primary seal remains uncompromised in both configurations, enhancing the gasket's effectiveness and longevity.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are ideal for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes excel in the flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets span 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10 Mpa, making them versatile and reliable for a myriad of uses.
Jackets are crafted from a selection of high-quality materials, including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more, offering durability and performance.
The filler options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, each chosen for their ability to withstand extreme conditions and enhance the gasket's sealing capability.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely set at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring stringent standards and performance consistency.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm), maintaining precision.
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are unavailable, hence Class 600 is used to ensure superior performance;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, necessitating the use of Class 1500, which offers robust support;
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger, directing the use of other compatible options.
