DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Crafted to perfection, our metal jacketed gaskets feature a strong, thin metallic shell protecting a durable filler material. This ingenious construction provides unparalleled defense against pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Painstakingly handmade, these gaskets come in a myriad of shapes and sizes, utilizing top-tier metals and fillers. With customizable internal ribs, they offer remarkable adaptability. Essential for heat exchanger applications, they require precision flange surfaces paired with high bolt loads to guarantee an impeccable seal.
Single jacketed gaskets, with one exposed surface, are fully enveloped in a metal jacket covering both the OD and ID. These are the perfect fit for applications requiring narrow flange widths, especially in low-pressure valve and pump systems.
Double jacketed gaskets, with a two-piece metal structure, embrace the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces entirely. Primarily used in heat exchanger applications, they excel in managing corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly embedded or expertly welded, safeguarding the primary seal in any configuration.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and furnaces
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Simple designs are ideal for pipeline flanges and internal-combustion machine sealing surfaces, while intricate shapes shine on flange covers for heat exchangers and similar applications. Generally, these versatile gaskets range from 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, withstanding pressures up to 6-10Mpa.
Jackets are meticulously crafted from a range of superior materials, including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials.
The gasket thickness tolerance is accurately set at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring precision.
(1). Gaskets from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24 have their outside and inside diameter tolerances strictly controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are not available, necessitating the use of Class 600;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges are unavailable, requiring Class 1500 instead;
(4). Class 2500 is not offered for NPS sizes 14 and larger.
