This inner ring, typically crafted from the same high-grade alloy as the winding, complies with DIN 2699 standards, mandating inner rings for all spiral wound gaskets. Furthermore, the ASME B16.20 standards necessitate an inner ring for PTFE-filled gaskets and recommend it for those with graphite fillers. This particular profile is ideally suited for both raised and flat-faced flanges.
